Professional Organizer Certification - is it too late for a new career?

Professional organizer is still relatively new term but behind this fancy title is a simple jet potentially very successful career choice. Organization is definitely becoming an industry that has potential to grow fast in all segments - home organization, business organization, time organization etc. A professional organizer is a person who will help you get thing done and maintain order in your private and business environment. To get certified a candidate must pass and exam conducted by The Board of Certification for Professional Organizers (BCPO^®). Examinations for Certified Professional Organizers are administered from February 1–28, June 1–30 and October 1–31 of each year and after you pass the exam you will receive your CPO^® notification and certificate and will be ready to start your new career as a professional organizer. Although BCPO is currently the most legitimate body for this type of certification, the bad news are that all candidates must must meet the following eligibility requirements:

• must have a minimum of high school diploma
• must agree to adhere to the Code of Ethics for Certified Professional Organizers
• Candidates must be prepared to document a total of 1,500 hours of paid work experience in the last three (3) years

Also the down side for me was the fact that this exam is only available in certain countries in the world so for example I would have to go to Germany to take it.
